Hi Amy,

I am encouraged by the website and organization. It's hard to know just what to say. Our little (big :)8 pound 8 ounce, Mark lived about 48 hours. He too had a congenital heart defect. One of the pulmonary vessels grew, but never attached to the heart.

Thanks to UAB doctors, he had the best earthly care.

I don't even know what to say.~ Gabe's story is heartbreaking and uplifting, and I have great admiration for Amy, his mom, beginning this ministry out of it.~ I truly hope that it will be supported and continued and grown into whatever God wants it to be-- and that it becomes just as big as He's planned it!! :) Amen!!

I just wanted you to know that your story is such an inspiration and Godly example of how we should live our lives. I know that any NICU situation is crazy but I worked in RNICU while Gabe was there. You are such a good example of how God can take control of the worst situation and give us some sort of peace. You always provided a wonderful example of coping with those situations while doing what is best for our children. I am a pediatric nurse practitioner now and work in a primary care office, but I will never forget you our your son. My family will be participating in the race for the wonderful cause you have created. While my heart goes out to your family, I am so blessed by your story. Thanks for sharing and God bless. Amy & Family, Thank you so much for sharing your story. We have had NICU experience as well with our family in the past year. First, with my nephew who lost his journey after 67 days on earth, then in July when my son was born. Children's Hosptial is amazing and while I'm deeply saddened for your loss, I am happy to hear that you are reaching out to help others. You are an amazing lady with a tremendous amount of strength and courage to do this and to still be able to give God all the praise, even through your loss.
